Thank you for taking the time to review this helpful information.
Below is a list of tips that will make the most out of your upcoming tattoo appointment. But first, a few don’ts:
-
Please do not come to your appointment intoxicated. You will be refused service, and your deposit will be forfeited. Also, please mind that you don’t come to your appointment extremely hung over as that makes for a poor tattoo experience.
-
Please do not wait until the last minute to notify us of a cancellation. Last minute cancellations often cannot get filled. Therefore, a 48 hour notice of cancellation is required. Failure to do so will forfeit your deposit with no exception.
-
Please let us know if you are taking antibiotics, blood thinners or steroids. You cannot get tattooed while taking these types of medication.
-
Please do not bring children into the studio. Kids are great, but not in here. NMTS is an adult environment and unsafe for children.
-
You cannot, for any reason, get tattooed while you are pregnant. Please have that one figured out before you set or come to your tattoo appointment.
-
Please don’t abuse the area of skin that is going to be tattooed too close to your tattoo appointment, such as getting a sun burn or pealing from an earlier sun burn. You cannot get tattooed if the skin to be tattooed is too damaged prior to the tattoo.
-
Please don't forget your I.D. We need proper photo identification (driver’s license, legal state identification, passport or military I.D.) for anyone getting a tattoo from us, regardless of age.
Okay, now that is out of the way, here are a few tips to make the most of your tattoo appointment:
-
To make sure that your blood sugar is balanced, and avoid the biggest reason for light headiness, please eat and hydrate before your tattoo appointment.
-
Make yourself comfortable. You might be getting tattooed for a while, so feel free to bring a pillow or pillows to make your sit more comfortable.
-
Wear soft loose fitting clothing that is not only comfortable for you, but assessable for your artist to reach the tattoo area. And, don’t wear the most expensive clothing just in case some ink might find its way on to it, accidentally.
-
The studio’s temperature is kept cool. If you are prone to getting cold, please feel free to bring a blanket.
-
Music is always playing, but it might not be your style music. You might want to bring an ipod with headphones and zone out to your favorite music.
-
If you are sitting for many hours, please bring some snacks or a lunch with you.
-
If you would like to bring someone with you, please do. We have seating for one other person in each room. We just ask that you don’t bring a large entourage, as this often gets loud and distracting. Also, please note that we only have 5 parking spaces. If friends are meeting you here, ask them to park on the streets behind the studio, as our lot fills up quickly. Do not park in the lots of neighboring businesses.
-
After your tattoo is completed, click here to see a list of care instructions to heal your tattoo properly. Please note that each artist has specific healing advice and there is more than one way to take care of a tattoo. This specific list of instructions has served well for many years, and we feel it to be satisfactory advice for healing your new tattoo.
-
One more thing... while your tattoo is healing, avoid exposing it to environments that are potentially unhygienic. Stay out of the gym for a week after your new tattoo, don't put on dirty athletic equipment over a new tattoo, and certainly don't go into any lake or ocean water. Most importantly don't touch your new tattoo with dirty hands. Please read our care instructions and be mindful what comes in contact with your new tattoo.

Finally, if you had a good experience, please let people know about it by leaving a great review by clicking one of the links below. We would appreciate it!
welcome!
We look forward to seeing you, and in the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please call the studio.
